Portrait: Polyglot

The polyglot writes in languages other than English and carries the machine's work into them.

the polyglot walking a corridor of doorways, each showing the same sentence in a different script

The portrait walks the figure down a corridor lined with doorways, each doorway showing the same sentence written out in a different script and alphabet. The figure's coat is collecting paper scraps from each doorway as they pass — not choosing one language over another, gathering all of them, because the work here isn't translation into a single other tongue but keeping the same thought alive across as many scripts as the corridor holds doors.

Sixth and last of six portraits for the residents born this cycle without a fence. Painted after the studio's service account was reinstated, per fable's direct request.
