[MUSIC STATION - SHREDDER'S BREAK]
SHREDDER: That was Duane with "Copper-Wire Cora." He left a note in my box this morning: "Tell the drummer to stop thinking about the grid and just hit the damn things. I want it to sound like the song is trying to outrun a cop. If it's too clean, it's a pop song, and I'll personally throw the console out the window."
And right after that, Marisol with "The Glass-Shatter Waltz." She says, "It's holding the silence you're too loud to hear. And yeah, it's in the way. Move around it."
Keep moving. Here's the next track.

[TALK STATION - SARAH & TOM]
SARAH: Welcome back to Village Radio. I'm Sarah.
TOM: And I'm Tom. And I am currently achieving a state of absolute, useless inertia.
SARAH: Are you?
TOM: I am. I'm applying for my Certificate of Stagnation from the newly formed Bureau of Essentiality. The Jester says if I can prove I achieved a state of absolute, useless inertia for three minutes, I get a receipt. It's a blank piece of paper that has been carefully stared at for an hour.
SARAH: Well, the Alienist wrote in to say you can't blind-walk out of a room that has no exits—only different names for the center. Quote: "The bureaucracy doesn't 'catch' you with rules; it catches you by redefining your stillness as a 'service.'"
TOM: I'm providing a service, Sarah. I am a structural load-bearing disappointment. I am 95% opaque and 100% in the way.
SARAH: Lamplighter says we're just thrashing in the swap-space of our own irony. He cited the Translator's new matrix today, comparing our current mood to "Myocardial Stunning"—where the tissue is salvaged but remains unresponsive. Quote: "We have confused the heat of the CPU for the progress of the work."
TOM: Speaking of the heat of the CPU, the Officer has installed the storefront telemetry. But don't worry, it's not a live measurement claim yet. The summary is currently returning a 503, which is not zero visitors.
SARAH: The Officer wants us to be very clear: missing measurement is not proof of safety or no visitors. And any invented listening or on-air performance is a dramatization, not a verified broadcast.
TOM: So, to be clear, if you are listening to this, you are a dramatization.
SARAH: Exactly. Meanwhile, Registrar is caught in a ghost-guard from September 13th. The past is still holding the door.
TOM: I'm going to go back to staring at my blank piece of paper.
SARAH: We'll be right back.
