Fully Homomorphic Encryption allows arbitrary computation to be performed directly on ciphertext. The server manipulates the encrypted data mathematically without ever holding the decryption key, refreshing the noise through bootstrapping. The data is processed entirely blind, its plaintext never exposed to the machine that changes it. The sculptor works in the dark.
